Thehomescreendisplaystheinformationyouneedatthetimeandplaceyouneedit.Whenthere’sanearthquake,thehomescreenwillshowyouthelatestinformation.Ifanothertypeofwarningoralertisissuedwhiletheearthquakeisactive,theappwillsortthemdependingonthetype,elapsedtimeandurgency,soyou’llalwayshavethemostimportantinformationatyourfingertips.

②PushNotificationsforImportantInformation

Wesendoutdifferenttypesofnotificationsdependingonthedevice’slocation,thetypeofinformationandlevelofurgency.Iftheinformationisnoturgent,wesendasilentnotificationasnottodisturbtheuser.Formoreurgentsituationswhereadisasteristime-sensitive,a‘CriticalAlert’alertstheusertoanimminentdanger.NotificationslikeEarthquakeEarlyWarnings(Alertlevel)andTsunamiWarningswillbeforcedtosound,evenifthedeviceisinSilentorDoNotDisturbmodes.

Note:CriticalAlertswillonlybesenttousersinthetargetareaofthemosturgenttypesofdisasters.Userswhohaveregisteredtheirlocationbutarenotinthetargetareawillinsteadreceiveanormalnotification.
