InmanyapplicationsVibrationcanbeanexcellentportablealternativetoacommercialspectrumanalyzer.InpredictivemaintenanceapplicationsVibrationcanhelpidentifybearingdefects,shaftmisalignment,imbalance,andstructuralresonantfrequencies.Vibrationisalsousefulformonitoringtheaccelerationofpartandmaterialhandlingequipment.

Thesoftwareisflexibleandeasytouse.Itwaswrittentoemulatethefamiliaroscilloscopebasedspectrumanalyzer.Samplerateandsampledelayareeasilyadjustableandtheusercanselectthelengthofthedataacquisitionandtheverticalscaleusedforthedisplay.OncethesettingsareconfiguredsimplypressthesamplebuttononthedeviceoronyourAppleWatch.Whenatestiscompletetheresultingdatacanbeemailedtoyourdesktopcomputerfordocumentationpurposes.
